Aloha

My name is Nadia and I am the owner and lead teacher of Little Groms Preschool! I live with my husband and 2 cats in Hale'iwa, O'ahu. As a lifelong learner, I enjoy traveling, camping, snorkeling, and hiking. Having spent my childhood in a small surf town in California and now living on the North Shore of O'ahu, I never take for granted all the natural beauty around me. I appreciate all we have to learn from nature in order to better make sense of the world we live in.

I love working with children one-on-one and in small group settings. This was my reason for opening our home to little ones at the start of 2022. I wanted to create an environment for children to socialize and form meaningful connections with one another. I have worked with children from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds, cultures, and learning styles, including children with special needs and who are medically fragile in both the home and school environment.

In addition to the past 8 years working in licensed childcare facilities, I have earned a Bachelor's degree in Educational Studies and have additional courses completed within Early Childhood Education. Through my years of studies and working in Reggio-Emilia, Montessori, and Constructivist preschool settings, I have respect for many different early childhood philosophies. From these experiences, I have chosen my favorite aspects from each to create my ideal hidden curriculum of practical, purposeful, and nature-based work.
